The Dennis Squires Memorial Tournament is a tournament dedicated to the memory of Dennis Squires. Dennis was an active member of the basketball community and was a former player at MPSH. The tournament raises money for suicide & mental health awareness with all proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association NL. The tournament features High School, Men’s & Women’s divisions. 

 

The tournament is also designed to get people talking about mental health and a way of bringing everyone in the community together. Spreading awareness & making people understand that they are never alone, is the focus of the DSMT.
